How to Do a Lat Pulldown Machine?
1. Grab the barbell with a wide overhand, knuckle-up grip. Other positions and grips are possible.
2. Pull the barbell down until it is roughly level with your chin. Exhale as you move down. Keep your upper body still, although you can move back slightly. Keep your feet flat on the floor and tighten your abs as you pull.
3. Squeeze your shoulder blades together while keeping your shoulders straight.
4. From the bottom position, bring the barbell close to your chin and slowly lower it back to the starting position while controlling it to gradually rise. Do not let it hit the plates.
5. Continue until you have completed a set of 8 to 12 repetitions. Rest, then continue with your set plan.
